Lawton Wildlife Refuge

Hi everyone,

Jason and I went to the Wildlife Refuge today and we had a great time. The refuge has everything from snakes, to buffalo, praire dogs and longhorn. Jason and I were able to also visit the Holy City which is super neat.

I am putting up some pictures for everyone to enjoy.

Jason and I will also be making other outtings to the Oklahoma City Zoo and to some other local museaums.

Another day in OK

Hi Folks,

So it is Labor Day here in O.K. and Jason and I are doing...Nothing. We are good at that!

I was doing some Coding homework today and he was playing his video game (note he does this a lot)

Something I didn't tell you all in the last post was my job status. I am not working as a Respiratory Therapist here because there aren't any jobs (there was one but it is a long story) So I am currently babysitting for the landlord (I have only done it once so far), and finishing my Coding Classes online. In December I maybe doing some personal training at a local gym but that is up in the air because I would be replacing a pregnant trainer (who knows maybe I will be prego myself by then) but it is on hold for now.

Jason and I were also able to find a church we are attending the First Assembly of God church which is right down the road from where we live. We are going to attempt going to bible study before church next Sunday so that will be fun.

We moved

Hi everyone!

So it has been a LONG LONG time since I posted anything so let me catch you all up!

First, I finished school and sat for my exams and am now offically an RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)

Second, Jason and I moved to Lawton, OK where he will be attending his Captains Career course.

Our new address is: 6921 W Gore Blvd Apt 112 Lawton, OK 73505
We still have our cell phones but also a home phone now. I can give you that if you email me. This apt is a 2 bedroom which is nice and it is two stories. It is set up more like a townhome and so far we love it.

CA Reception

Wedding

The Wedding

Hi everyone,

We wanted to Thank everyone who attended our wedding...all of you being there made the day so special!

I have some photos that I will post and will post some more when I get them.

I also wanted to let you all know that I have offically graduated from FTCC with an Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy. I graduated with Honors and took my first licensing test and PASSED this past Tuesday. I am now a Certified Respiratory Therapist! I will sit for my RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist test sometime next week....I think)

Jason and I will be going on our honeymoon in about a two weeks...we will first go to the Biltmore Estate in Ashville, NC (Google it! you will love it!) Followed by a week visit to good old Coronado, CA!

Looking forward to seeing those who couldn't make it to NC!

Family Dinner

Well it has been a long long time since I posted anything and I know some people have had trouble getting on the blog site. This is because I had some weirdo post a comment and so I tightened security of the J and J blog site but I did it too tight that no one could read it....sorry :(

So I am finished with school! Another all A semester. Jason is home and helping me prepare for the wedding which is SOON SO VERY SOON!

I will soon post pictures of him helping make little gift boxes.... hee hee I just have to dupe him into it.

I have started working as an RCA (Respiratory Care Assistant) for Cape Fear Hospital and will soon be a RCP (Respiratory Care Practitioner) I am doing this per diem which means I work about once a week...whew.

Jason and I wanted to especially post pictures of our family enjoying nice causual dinner conversation. I know this may sound silly but, Buddy regularly sits at the dinner table with us while we eat and well we think it is pretty funny.

We hope everyone is well and for those of you in CA...We will be there soon also!

Reintegration

Hi everyone,

Well it has been a couple weeks since my Beloved has come home. We are now experiencing reintegration time...
Jason and I have been able to set up a couple wedding things together which is really good and makes me feel like he is more involved.

We also have decided to take a trip to SD in the summer when Jason has his leave time. Along with a honeymoon to a really cool place that I will post about a little later with a link so you all can check it out.

I did take a video of Jason's Unit marching in to the hanger when they got home however I am trying to figure out how to get it on the computer. So I will post that once I have it.

I hope everyone is doing well. We are doing great and can't wait to see our CA friends this summer and those of you who can make it to the wedding we will see you SOON :)

Jason is HOME!

Hi everyone, JASON IS HOME JASON IS HOME!! I am writing to tell you all there really can be a wedding :) Jason came home today around 12 noon. It was so great to see him. I spotted him in the crowd and then when we were allowed to mingle with the soldiers I made a B line right for him before he knew it I was in his arms!! Thank God for a tall Husband! I am completely beside myself right now with joy I am so excited to have him here with me! Well I will keep you all posted on other wedding stuff now that I have a wedding planner partner ;) Love ya, Jenna and Jason (for real) Will post a picture later.

Getting Antsy

Hi everyone,

I got on for a quick update. Jason sent me a recent picture of him with some of the guys he works with on a regular basis, so I thought I would share it with all of you. Of course he and I are both getting antsy and excited because he will be home soon!

In the mean time I am still doing the school thing and taking care of our invalid child Buddy :) Who is cute and dear but is a pain. (My father baught him is own grass to grow in the house so he could pretend he was outside.) It is crazy but he loves it!

It does snow in the south!

Hi everyone,

I am writting to share some of our updated wedding info!

The wedding colors are black and silver (and cream). Jason will be in his dress blues and I will be wearing my wedding dress (ivory). The wedding will take place on Ft. Bragg at the Main Post Chapel at 3pm til 5pm.

The wedding reception is going to be at the Hilltop House in Fayetteville

The reception will start at 5pm and go till about 8 pm in the evening. There will be dinner and a DJ. The bar will be open and we hope that as many of you can come and enjoy the time with us!

The menu will consist of:

Sautéed Grouper
Our 6 oz. sautéed Grouper cooked to perfection served over fresh spinach and rice pilafand finished with a lemon beurre blanc.

8oz. Ribeye
8oz. Ribeye grilled to perfection, crowned with our own herbed butter,
served with garlic mashed potatoes and Chef’s selection of seasonal vegetables.

Chicken Marsala
Seasoned, roasted chicken breast draped with espagnole sauce, sautéed seasonal mushroomsand a hint of Marsala wine. Presented upon a bed of garlic mashed potatoes andaccompanied by Chef’s selection of seasonal vegetables.

The other news is it snowed here this past weekend! Of course I stayed in the house for my safety because the people in the south shut down the town at the smell of snow.

Wedding Update

Hi everyone!

Okay this is the information I have so far:

Wedding Rehersal 17:00 Main Post Chapel May 23rd, 2008

WEDDING!!! 15:00 - 17:00 Main Post Chapel May 24th, 2008

The reception site is in the works: I am meeting with a place tomorrow which I think is who we will go with because it will be very simple and yet elegant.

I did have the Airborne Museum reserved and the center of the reception hall would have hung a paratrooper with his parachute wide open suspended from the ceiling...but I couldn't get that place till right at 17:00 and the cater would need time to set up and well I didn't know what to do with you all and it was making me nuts so I decided even though the coolness of the museum is what I wanted...I am going for easy and stress free.

Again I will keep you all posted on my progress and I will be sending more wedding invitations out.

2008 will be great!

Hi everyone!

I have sent out a mass email about our wedding date! We finally have secured a date at the chapel...we are certain Jason will be able to make it to the wedding :) If not you all can come see me in my dress. Just kidding!!!

We are both very excited that it is now 2008 and just a couple of months away till Jason is home again.

We have a little countdown that we are doing but his return date is pretty unofficial yet. We just know it will be in March sometime.

Details about the wedding will be coming soon. For now is will be May 24th at the Main Post Chapel on Ft. Bragg, NC.

I will keep you all updates as the plans unfold!
